DISTRICT TEAM - PEGASUS DISTRICT
Marty was initiated in to the craft in the Pareora Lodge No. 134 in the Midland district some 27 years ago, is a three term past Master of Lodge Takahe No. 397, this being his current lodge. Marty is also a member the Shirley Royal Arch Chapter No. 86 and the Te Awa Conclave No. 44.
Marty is a salesman for a plastics company, is 55 years old and has been married to Lynda his second wife for 15 years; Being a step father to Lynda’s two boys Darryl & Whilem and father to Abby (14), who was born during his first term as Master of Lodge Takahe in 2002.
Having been a past principal cornet for the Timaru Municipal Brass Band, Marty has since joining the craft, regularly acted as herald at installations in the Midland and wider Canterbury Districts.
Ritual work in the lodge is a passion and over the last few years he has enjoyed the opportunity to assist the Masters and Past Masters Lodge of Research No. 130 in acting as a moderator of training sessions held for various Master Mason’s Education groups.
Favourite pastimes outside of Freemasonry include a round of golf when able, watching car and motorcycle racing and supporting his daughter Abby, as she negotiates her way around the country playing cricket.
Having worked in the past as a chemist and beer taster for a major brewery, Marty has an active interest in fermentation, distils his own spirits and has been successful at National Level Competition, winning the National Brewmaster title for his Lemon Bombay Gin.
District Grand Master
Kevin was initiated into the Craft in November 1999 in Lodge Takahe No. 397 where he has enjoyed the honour of being Master three times.
Working currently as a sales representative covering the South Island and Wellington regions, has allowed Kevin the opportunity to visit a number of Lodges outside the Canterbury region, so he has enjoyed a wide exposure to Freemasonry in New Zealand.
Kevin’s wife Lynne, is an enthusiastic supporter of Freemasonry.
As a Life Member, Kevin serves on the committee, coaches and still plays for Papanui Redwood AFC, he also lists his other pastimes as fishing, reading and the occasional game of golf.
District Grand Director of Ceremonies
Dennis is an Analyst for ACC, and has been employed with them for 28 years.
He is a member of Lodge Takahe No. 397, and The Masters and Past Masters Lodge of Research No. 130.
He has been married to Rebecca for over 20 years, and they have 2 adult children, both at University.
Dennis is currently a 2nd-term Master of Lodge Takahe. On joining Freemasonry, he discovered that a cousin of his maternal grandfather was also a Past Master and founding member of Lodge Takahe.
Dennis lists his hobbies as family, reading, photography, golf and tennis.
Peter was initiated into The Ashley Lodge No 28 on the 11th December 2008, Raised on the 13th August 2009 and took the Chair in March 2015.
Currently the IPM of the Ashley Lodge No 28 and First Principal of the Shirley Royal Arch Chapter No 86 and Third Principal of the Albert Edward Chapter No 6.
Married with two adult children and although officially retired, Peter is a consultant to the International Ship Suppliers Association, London, and the International Marine Medical Association also of London.
