ALZHEIMER'S - THE SILENT, LETHAL THIEF   ....cntd
Alzheimer's doesn't discriminate. Regardless of your ethnic, or socio-economic situation we are all players in this terrible game oif roulette. Next time you are sitting with a group -f people -take a look around - 1 in 15 will die of Alzheimers or Dementia. By 2050 that number will be 1 in 10.

As Freemasons we are just as prone to Alzheimer's as the rest of the population. Some evidence suggests that keeping an active mind  fends off the symptoms of Alzheimers for longer - so if you are passionate about delivering ritual - keep delivering it for as long as you can!  There's a chance it will help.

So how do you know if someone is suffering from Alzheimer's and at what state their condition has reached? Clinicians use a number of methods to assess whether a patient has Alzheimer's, however one test that has stood the test of time is the TYM Test (Test Your Memory). It claims a 95% reliability in early diagnosis of the condition.

I have been able to source the TYM 'kit' which includes the test itself and supporting documents to assist with marking the test and interpreting the results. These can be accessed via the links below:

Remember, this is just a test. A proper diagnosis can only be determined after extensive clinical examination. If you are worried that you or a loved one might be suffering early signs of Alzheimer's - contact your health care professional.
